Allex Michael: "I can compare it to a cross country drive from Seattle to New York. Everything's great through Washington State and Idaho. Then the car's engine dies in NE Montana and you don't have the money to fix it.

Completing this amazing journey is a lifelong dream and you've already told everyone you're going to do it. Many of whom, I should add, are certain you'll never pull it off. Those who believe in you, gave you supplies and support, so you certainly can't let them down after all their help.

Now except for a totaled engine, it's still a perfectly good car. Which leads me to start pushing.

Sometimes the road provides really big valleys, where I can jump into the driver's seat and coast for miles. Other times, the road is flat as far as the eye can see and you just keep pushing out of fear that you'll lose your momentum and come to a permanent stop. Some hills are just too big to climb and you have to rely on other people to help. Like the guy who leans in the window with a big cigar in his mouth. He looks you up and down and says "Sweet cheeks, what you gonna give me if I tow your car up this hill?"

So basically it took over five years, but I finally got my first film made"
